As a child getting to high school seemed like it was going to take life time. I remember swinging in the playground of Lincoln Elementary with my friends at recess talking about how we couldn’t wait to be high schoolers. We were so impatient to land feet at the high school and we're eager to become a high school learner. One thing we nerver that was that it was going to be a lot of pencil on paper. One thing I learned was that Elementary is for you to have fun, pay attention, and get work done in order for one to actually be ready for high school because high school then becomes a pain in the butt, too much stress, and work requirements to get done. Today I’m sitting here working on my Senior Project with so much in mind. So many things I want to do, so many goals I have yet to accomplish. I’m finally a Senior and now it’s time to grow up, I am now mature enough to realize that my future will depend on the actions I choose to make and the opportunities I choose to take from this point on.
One of the best things about working on this project has been being able to brainstorm my plans, kind of like creating a rough draft about my future, but yet kinda scary because it’s my future we’re talking about here. My main interest is the medical field but I am also interested in criminal justice, but becoming a registered nurse is one of the biggest goals I would like to accomplish in life however, criminal justice will also have to be another goal to accomplish. I want to be able to do both but at the moment i am debating on it. With the real world just around the corner waiting for me to reach out for it and not being prepared for it scares me because i'm not ready. Yet it’s something i'm going to have to face but for that I have get good grades and be able to graduate and of course participate in my 2016 class graduation ceremony.
I know it will be difficult but who ever said anything good in life was supposed to be easy? The steps I’m taking are to be on pace that’s my number one thing be on pace don’t fall behind because it’s my last year at the high school. At this very moment I am behind, but yet I am trying to get on pace in order for me to get into a cap and gown to walk down and get that diploma.
My parents are a big influence to me. My friends and family have always motivated me to do good, when doing good they motivate me to do better. They’ve always told me how important my education is and everything else that comes from it. These reasons and many more command me to attend college, become successful in life in order to give back what was once giving to me. I will make my friends and family proud.
